 Recreation Center Rules & Regulations

A VALID RESIDENT PHOTO I.D. OR GUEST PASS IS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY TO A RECREATION CENTER.

ALL CLUB MEMBERS MUST ENTER AND EXIT THE FACILITIES THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRANCE AND SHOW THEIR I.D.

 

     Guest passes are available by resident request only.  Guest privileges extend to both Recreation Centers. Residents are encouraged to accompany and remain with their guest(s) while they are visiting the Recreation Centers and will be held responsible for the actions of their guest(s) while they are using the recreation facilities.  Unsupervised children are not permitted in the Recreation Centers.  WVA Staff will enforce the Rules & Regulations.  If you observe a violation of the rules, report it to a staff member immediately.  If a resident, club member, or guest is found to have violated any of the rules, they are subject to lose their privileges to use the facilities & common areas.

     Entry to any workshop is restricted per shop/club rules.  Clubs are responsible for monitoring their premises and the use of the equipment.

     Pursuant to Arizona State Law, the Recreation Centers are NO SMOKING facilities, including all walkways and patios, except in the parking lots and 20 feet from the front entry door.  Please use the provided ashtrays to extinguish cigarettes prior to entering the Centers.

 

SWIMMING POOLS

5:30am – 9:30pm

Children ages 3 through 17 Swim Days

NEW DAYS BEGINNING JANUARY 2, 2018

The Lakes Recreation Center – 11:00am – 5:00pm     Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

The Vistas Recreation Center  – 11:00am – 5:00pm     Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Friday

     An adult must accompany children under the age of 18.  Children under the age of 3, or in diapers are NOT ALLOWED in the pool or inside the pool fence.  Children under the age of 16 are NOT ALLOWED in the spa. 

 

NO LIFEGUARD IS PRESENT

Each swimmer assumes individual risk for himself/herself and for any accompanying guest or child.

     Persons having a skin disease or any communicable disease are NOT ALLOWED to use the pool.  Swimmers must shower before entering the pools.  Sun tan oils are not permitted; use only sun blocks/lotions that are greaseless.  Swimwear must be worn in the pool, no cut-offs are allowed.  Swimmers with long hair are required to secure hair up or wear a bathing capFloatation devices allowed in the pools are: water wings, life preservers, kick boards and noodles.  Rafts and balls are not allowed.  Running, diving, jumping off the side of pool and hanging on the ropes is not permitted.  Lap lanes are normally reserved for lap swimmers only.  No glass containers, food, or alcoholic beverages permitted within four (4) feet of the pool and/or spa. Pets are not allowed in the pool area or any other part of the recreation facilities.  Wet swimsuits are not allowed in the Recreation Centers, except in the restrooms and locker rooms.

     The pools are for your use and enjoyment.  We need the cooperation of all residents to make the pools fun, safe, and sanitary.  Residents must advise children and guests of these rules.  Etiquette should be observed at all times.

 

BILLIARDS ROOM

Tables are in use on a first come basis and no reservations may be made except for specific tournaments approved by the Recreation Centers Manager.  Balls/cue sticks must be put away and tables covered.  No food or drink is allowed in the room and shoes and shirts are required.  Children under age 12 are not allowed.  Ages 12 – 18 will be permitted only when accompanied by the resident sponsor.   Billiard Club reserves the room on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30.

 

EXERCISE ROOM

*Resident hours: 5:30am – 9:00pm  *Guest hours:  11:00am – 9:00pm

*Closes 8:30pm on Tues for cleaning

Children under 18 are not permitted to enter the gym or use the equipment.  In the event of heavy demand for equipment, time limits and signup sheets will be posted.

 

Injury policy:  If you are injured while at a WVA facility, you must report it immediately to a staff member and fill out and sign an accident report, in order for your injury or claim to be considered valid.  If medical personnel are called to the facility to assist you, this will be considered valid notification.
